Lyrics
An Sion tha Iehòbhah mòr,
Is àrd os Ceann gach sluaigh,
D’ainm mòr ro -uamhar molar leò,
Oir tha e naoimh ra luaidh.
Is toigh le neart an Righ ceart-bhreith:
’s tu shocraicheas a’ cheart:
An Iàcob breitheanas is còir
Cuiridh tu ’n gnìomh gu beachd.
Ar Dia Iehòbhah àrdaichibh,
Is sleuchdaibh dha gu caomh,
Aig stòl a chos gu h-urramach;
Oir tha e fèin ro-naomh.
Lyrics Translated
The Lord in Sion great and high
Above all people is;
Thy great and dreadful name (for it is holy) let them bless.
The King’s strength also judgement loves;
Thou settlest equity:
Just judgement thou dost execute
In Jacob righteously.
The Lord our God exalt on high,
And rev’rently do ye
Before His footstool worship Him:
The Holy One is He.
