Lyrics
O ’s ionmhainn leatsa còir is ceart,
Is thug thu fuath don olc;
Os Ceann do chompanach chuir Dia,
Do Dhia-s’, ol’-aoibhneis Ort.
Den alos, mhirr, is chasia,
Od eudach fàile thèid:
Leo siud do chuir iad aoibhneas ort,
Od lùchairt geal mar dheud.
Lyrics Translated
Thou lovest right, and hatest ill;
For God, thy God, most high,
Above thy fellows hath with th’ oil
Of joy anointed thee.
Of aloes, myrrh, and cassia,
A smell thy garments had,
Out of the iv’ry palaces,
Whereby they made thee glad.
