Lyrics
’S e Dia ta fosgladh sùil nan dall;
Togaidh Iehòbhah mòr
An dream a ta air cromadh sìos:
Is caomh leis daoine còir.
Dua seasaidh banntrach ’s dìlleachdan,
’s e ’s dìon don choigraech ann:
Ach slighe fhiar nan daoine daoi
Tilgidh e bun-os-ceann.
Bidh Dia na Àrd-Rìgh mòr gu bràth,
Do Dhia-sa, Shion naoimh;
Molaibh-se Dia gu caomh.
Lyrics Translated
The Lord doth give the blind their sight,
The bowed down doth raise;
The Lord doth dearly love all those
That walk in upright ways.
The stranger’s shield, the widow’s stay,
The orphan’s help, is he;
But yet by him the wicked’s way
Turn’d upside down shall be.
The Lord shall reign for evermore:
Thy God, O Sion, he
Reigns to all generations.
Praise the Lord give ye.
